“Improving YOUR Communications”
You are invited to attend a presentation to be given by Dr. Richard Atkins, founder and CEO of Improving Communications, LLC. The language that people uses affect how they feel and how they see and understand the world. More important, the choice of words affect how others feel and perceive the speaker. With that in mind, communication style and word choice have tremendous power in everyday life, and particularly within Corporate America.
The presentation will be focused on communication styles and their effect on others. Poor communication at work results in misdirection, lost time and efficiencies, potential conflict and low morale. The presentation will provide you with insights as to how such can be avoided in your work day, and in your career!Topics which will be covered will include: positive language, accurate vs. vague language, inclusive communication and respectful expression. You will be better equipped to lead others, communicate with your leaders, and ultimately contribute more effectively to your team! Cocktails and light refreshments will be provided immediately following the presentation.
